This is me and my favorite lady hanging on the porch at the Beach. We haven't been on this porch for a few days because we are back in New York City. A few thoughts on "The City" versus "The Beach" -- some things are the same but some are quite different.
1) Walks along the water. They happen in both places; however one is leisurely and serene, while the other fast paced and hectic. At the beach, the people are either elderly or moms with babies. Today in NYC, I saw two spanish speaking gentlemen strip down to their rainbow tie-died skivvies and pose to take pictures of each other. Hmmm....
2) The Lawn. At the beach, it seems it takes dad about 5 seconds to walk from the door to the inspect the lawn. In the city, it's a whole ordeal; first the stroller, then elevator and walk across some big roads, and finally get to a lawn where other people are allowed to hang out. Yesterday, there was a man singing opera on our NYC lawn. I don't think Dad would like that much at the beach.
3) Traveling. We don't go in the car seat very much in the city. While there are many more cars here, we don't get in them often. But Dad does strap me into the stroller much more frequently.
4) Playgrounds. There are many of them here and there seem to be many more people playing. There are also many playgrounds for adults. Apparently these are called nightclubs and many are located close to our house. Mom and Dad don't seem to like to play though since they usually stay home with me.
I will expound more on the differences between city and country at a later date. I am still learning a lot.
